A
little bio...
I was born in April 1985 in France.
Since a very young age, I have been attracted to
art, painting, and drawing in general. As a kid I
would spend hours drawing my favourite cartoon
characters...! I got my first watercolours box at
10, when I entered an art class during my first
year at junior high school. And after that...
well, I pretty much dropped drawing. As a teen I
had other centers of interest - plus, having to
draw what the art teacher wanted us to draw
during art class was not really motivating for
me. For several years I hardly touched a
paintbrush...
Then around 16, I (re)discovered the wonderful
world of comics and mangas. And I was back to
drawing. From there I mainly taught myself - at
first I was just drawing for fun... but soon I
became addicted, and grew more and more serious
about art, trying to improve my skills, to convey
more emotions, to create a personal universe!
My work is generally described as onirical,
dreamy, dark and soft altogether... I try to show
the beauty in strangeness, and surprise the
people who see my artwork. I seek my inspiration
from comics, but also 19th century illustrators,
and pre-raphaelite and surrealist painters.
I have a background of biology studies (molecular
biology, to say the truth), which are still, at
this point, the studies I am completing. Nowadays
I am living in Paris, France, where I am a
biology intern during days, and an artist during
my free time. I have been showing my artwork
online for several years now, and I work with a
number of companies and galleries who distribute
my artwork around the world.
